Important Information for new McCleery Tuesday Ladies Applicants

What McCleery Tuesday Applicants Should Know

 

Thank you for thinking of McCleery Tuesday Ladies Golf as your golf club choice.

Membership Review Process

 

Generally, the Membership for the coming McCleery golf season is reviewed in December/January after all existing members have committed and paid their renewal fees by the end of November. This whole process is usually completed by February. 

 

The process includes:

 

1.     Review of current members and any status changes for various reasons. This determines the number of full play openings that might be available for the coming season. Currently our full play membership quota is 102. 

 

2.     Applicants are admitted in the following order: a) current McCleery Tuesday Ladies who are on Social medical leave and going back to full play;  b) current McCleery Tuesday Ladies who are Social going to full play;  c) current McCleery Business Ladies; then  d) waitlist applicants.

 

3.     Then, depending on the remaining openings, the waitlist applicants are invited to join in order of the date their application was received and posted.  Successful applicants are notified by email and are normally given 14 days to accept and pay the dues. At this time the applicant will be required to send proof of their established handicap – either:

* 5 attested scorecards from games played on rated courses within the last 12 months (with scores less than 115).  They will be entered into the Golf Canada system, so she has an accurate handicap for the start of the season.  OR

* a verified Golf Canada Identification number or handicap printout from an online handicap network

 

4.   Failure to respond/accept within the deadline given results in being dropped from the waitlist and requires a new application.

Additional information about our organization: 

 

  • McCleery Tuesday Ladies Golf Club has up to 102 active playing members
  • Membership fee for 2026 is $200 plus a $75 entry fee for new members only. 
  • Our tee times are on Tuesday mornings and start between 8:30 and 9:15 (depending on the month)
  • Green fee information is available on the Vancouver Park Board website
  • Most correspondence is done via email and information is posted on our website.  It is the responsibility of each member to frequently check for updates.
  • Draws are posted on the website.
  • Players are required to complete a minimum of 10 Tuesday games each season to maintain an active membership status for the following year (some exceptions apply if extenuating circumstances apply).
  • The club is run by volunteers and you will be expected to volunteer on one of many committees after your first year.
